This is my favorite look to rock during the work week. It’s perfect because it is equipped with so much versatility and it’s extremely warm! This ensemble truly captures the essence of who I am. It looks elegant, it’s chic, but also professional at the same time. It’s one of those must have boss lady looks!
As we enter the daunting cold months, I notice women tend to throw their style out the window when dressing for work. Generally speaking, I think the weather has this effect on people during this time of year. When you dress up and look good you’ll feel better. There are ways you can look warm, chic, and cute in the office. It will require more planning of your outfits and effort, but that extra 5-10 minutes you take the night before to plan your looks will make all the difference when getting ready in the morning.
My approach was to ensure I was warm but also stylish. No one has the time be getting sick! I immediately thought of my dark navy turtle neck and plaid pants from Zara. I knew it needed a little extra something to bring it together. My black sleeveless duster vest with gold buttons added that much needed touch I was needing to make it stylish and chic. I think it’s so amazing how one article of clothing or even accessory can alter your look. Adding the Vest brought a more polished and professional touch.
Another great benefit of this look is how transitional it is. This can easily transition from the office to happy hour with your colleagues. For instance, All you would need to transform this into a desk to dinner look is to simply take off the pointy shoes or whatever your professional work shoes are and trade them out for some fun looking booties! (linked some down below for you) Throwing in a cute hand bag would definitely help bring the casual feel to it. They don’t need to look like mine per say, but something as simple as your shoes or a cute bag can take your 9 to 5 into a cute desk to dinner ensemble. I’m a big advocate for desk to dinner looks as you can see.
