First and Foremost Happy May loves!! It’s a new month. A new month to set new goals and get them accomplished! Have you always wanted to rock the denim on denim look but never knew the right way to go about it? Were you just afraid it wouldn’t look right on you? I understand what you’re going through, but I challenge you to step out of your comfort zone and try denim on denim with a twist. I have yet to meet or see anyone who didn’t look great in it. This style is not exclusive for a specific body type. Which make this look great because it honestly looks good on everyone. It makes for a very versatile look that you can style in a plethora of ways. I think people struggle because they don’t know their body type and they do not dress according to their body type, hence they feel discouraged to try certain looks. (I can help with this, send me a message) The clothes you wear are supposed to serve a purpose; to make you look and feel good.
I decided to play a twist on this look by throwing in a statement sneaker and pairing it with distressed boyfriend denim jeans instead of playing around with colors. This look is a simple go to when you want to look chic and stylish at the same time, but also want to put forth minimal effort into your look. When pairing denim on denim, it’s very important to stick within one shade of denim for both your top and your bottom. For instance, if your denim bottoms are light wash denim, your top should consist of a pop of color or a neutral color followed up with a light wash denim jacket. There are so many ways you can style denim on denim. Pairing your denim bottoms with a chambray top is also a great option for spring with a cute casual sneaker. But of course the denim wash on top and bottom should mirror each other. It’s okay to pair a medium wash with a light wash as those specific washes do not consist of a heavy contrast, however still just be careful. If it doesn’t feel right, it usually isn’t. This same idea not only applies to our personal lives, but also in how we dress ourselves.
When your top and bottom consist of two different denim colors it provides a sloppy look. It looks crazy and it’s not a clean ensemble. You want to look and feel good for you at all times. You can choose from a Dark Wash, Light Wash, and medium wash colored denim. I’m going to try out some YouTube videos soon and see how people respond to them. I’d like to show you all some different and fun ways to style denim on denim and still be stylish, comfy, and chic. I got such positive feedback on this look. The great new is you can have this look too!! Similar items can be found below. The best way to effortlessly slay the denim on denim look is to add in a statement sneaker, distressed denim jacket, and top it off with distressed jeans. How do you all style your denim on denim? I’d love to hear if you all style it any differently!
